As you spend time on this sacred land, you are taking in the fruits of time-honored Tlingit stewardship. This is not just an Alaskan adventure for us, it is a home, dearly loved and cared for. The surrounding landscape provides for all of us. Watch the salmon runs from the riverbank and consider how long they have fed Tlingit people. These relationships are deep-rooted.
Tlingit stories map the land and reflect it's wisdom. Traditional dances and songs, some with history reaching back to time immemorial, help form a rich culture woven into these waters, forests and mountains. This is Haa Aaní (Our Land).
